Wash days can be time consuming especially if you're not sure what to do, how to do it and where to start. So you'll spend a lot of time deciding if you should clarify or co-wash and even using coconut oil or olive oil. Depending on your lifestyle, you may not have time to be doing all of this.

So in this blog post we'll be sharing with you tips on how to save time on wash days:
1. Wash Days Should Be In the Shower:
The first step is to conduct wash days in the shower before you shower.
This allows you to save time because you'll be killing two birds with one stone - washing your hair and your body. I'm guaranteed that you won't spend more than 90 minutes within the shower because you'll be trying to get in, be effective and efficient and get out.
2. PREPOO [Optional]:
Not all of us prepoo prior to shampooing.
But for those who do, you should be prepooing the night before wash day.
This saves you time as when you rise you don't necessarily have to wait an extra 30 minutes for the oils to coat your hair before shampooing. Also, the oil has more time in the night to coat the hair shaft thoroughly. As well as, impart it's minerals to your hair ends, scalp and the hair shaft.

3. Shampoo with a scalp massaging or shampoo brush:
Shampoo can be time consuming because you just keep adding more. Also, your pouring or pumping the shampoo bottle to all the areas of the scalp. So use a scalp massaging brush. This brush can hold all of the shampoo that's needed for your scalp only. IN addition, you can use the brush in a circular motion so that it can coat each and every inch of your scalp.

4. Condition & Detangle Using 2 Sections Maximum:
Instead of conditioning your hair using 4 or 6 sections, only do a maximum of 2.
This may seem hard in the beginning especially if you're use to using more sections. As well as, if your hair strands are thicker to handle. But after doing two sections for awhile - you and your hair will adapt. Remember, the lesser sections the more time you will save.

5. Deep Condition While You Shower:
When it's time to deep condition your hair, do it while you're cleansing your body. Apply your deep conditioner, plastic/steam cap and let it sit. Then take those 3, 5 or 15 minutes to cleanse your body by exfoliating, shaving, doing a face mask, etc. Your hair will be getting a steam treatment as the water is flowing front he pipes while you're doing your thing in the shower.

SIDE NOTE: We don't recommend replacing your deep conditioners as conditioners because they serve two different purposes for your hair (Will be covered in another blog post).
6. Hydrate and Seal After Your Shower:
And finally, after rinsing off your body, moisturize your hair after. Regardless of your hair's porosity level, this is great step. You want to apply hydration to your hair right after rinsing off your body as well as your deep conditioner. The hair cuticles are usually open so the hydration is able to be absorbed into the hair shaft. Then, seal everything in using your favorite butter or cream to keep your hair moisturized.
